![]() We think of this beautiful spot in Colombia
as the Williamsburg, Virginia of South America. It is a historic,
colonial villiage that was home to one of the great revolutionaries in
the wars of independence from Spain. No, not Simón Bolívar,
but Antonio Nariño. Its importance to us, however, lies not
in its historical significance. It was in Villa de Leyva where
we met and were married and where, one day, we will retire. It is
paradise: perfect weather, perfect scenery, perfect pace-of-life,
perfect distance from the city, perfectly peaceful. But don't take
our word for it. Look at the pictures we took in December 1997 and
judge for yourself.
