FRAMES TWO

This is the same technique as previously described
using a matboard covered with fabric,
paper, ribbon,etc. If you want
a padded look then place quilt batting
between matboard and top covering.
Trim with ribbon, buttons, flowers
(silk, pressed, dried) or whatever you want.
I wanted to show you the pergamano
in the middle, unfortunatly the photo
is not good and you can't see it well.
In this case the matboard is
decorated with gathered lace and wire edged
pretty ribbon. Matboard is lace covered design.
The large frame was another garage sale find.
A few touchups with brown acrylics and some
copper rub 'N' buff and it came out looking
almost as good as new. The hanging inside the
frame is one of my wood cutouts. The pot
is hung from coiled wire and a bow is added at
the top of the wire. The ribbon started out as just
a yellow and white ribbon but by using the same
colors as I used to paint the flowers in the pot,
I was able to make all appear as one matching unit.
A rectangle of 1" pine with the center cut out
along with some sanding is all it takes for
this simple frame. It was painted and embellished
to match the photo of my grandson, Wesley, in the picture.
