A Walk In The Forest
Once I walked within a forest
where tall oaks shimmered with faerie dust
Beyond hills and valleys
Through summer flowers
that bowed their heads as I passed by
Soft laughter echoed all around me
as I followed a path covered with rose petals
leading me through a door of gold, silver and moonstones
"Greetings", said the Fae Queen
Her skin shimmered in the moonlight
Her eyes glowed like a cat's
wise, feral and alive
She showed me the wonders of enchantment
We danced on marble floors
the wind picking us up now and then
sending us sailing across the stars
She chanted rhymes to bless the dreamers
stirring me with passion strong
She smiled when morning came
waving goodbye through shining tears
