Love is soft ... Like the rosy cheeks of a cherub hiding in a cotton cloud Or a gossamer winged dragon fly darting over quiet waters Like pink cotton candy piled high at a summer fair Or soft rain sliding off fragile coral bells. Love is protective ... With the watchful eye of a mother lion glancing at night sounds Or hidden thorns on a velvet rose Like downy chicks tucked safely under a nesting hen Or the comfort of a familiar hand Love is strong ... Like wings of an eagle soaring through the morning sky Or the willow bending in a winter wind Like the craggy sides of a towering mountain Or the roar of a hurricane's force Love is gentle ... Like the sigh and the touch of a new mother Or the ripples on a peaceful azure pond Like the whisper of a summer breeze Or the quiet purr of a napping kitten Love is warm ... Like the feel of a sudden January thaw Or the flickering glow of an evening camp fire Like a cup of soothing herbal tea Or the touch of the summer sun ... What is love? Can you paint it or hear it or see it? Can you touch it or feel it or hold it? You know love ... Love is life ... Life is love ... Love IS ...
