You have been such a friend along the road
Taken me far, offered warmth and comfort, eased the journey
While there have been moments of indecision and confusion
Times when winter snows or summer storms seemed more than could be handled
When voices were raised in anger before reason took hold,
When bumps were harder, roads longer, hills higher...
It was you who saw me past the problems and led me to a smoother path...
It was you with your familiar arms, your warm security
Who made the journey an exploration, the destination a reward.
Together, my friend, we have traveled into the vast wonder of the world
Our paths may be divergent now, but they will be forever connected,
Forever remembered, forever cherished.
I will look back and I will see you
Always.
