My sister Irene
I promised Irene that I would meet her on the other
side some day and I am going to keep that promise.
There are days that hurts and I miss you so badly sis.
I want to tell you all about my sister. She was the best
of all three of us girls .Being the youngest girl of the
three of us.Irene was very ill all of her life. First she
had allergies and fought that most of her life. She was very lively
and she went out of her way making friends with all she met.
Being talented she first started playing the violin.
Oh there was times that she would make her violin squeak
and I wanted to ring her sweet little neck. But she developed
well and later she played a guitar beautifully.
She and her husband Phil started a praise group in the church.
They would play every worship day and that continued up
until the day of her death.Irene had two wonderful sons
the first one being Chris.and her second one son is Tim.
But are very talented young men. One day 10 years ago she
became very sick and she went in for testings and the doctor
reported that she had breast cancer. This went into full remission
for 3 years .Irene had her one breast removed and from than on
she went straight down hill. She told us that she had been
given 3 to 6 months to live. And she would go into a comma
and that would be the last time she wake up.And thats just
the way she meet the Lord in the sky.The last of her life was
her sitting up and saying I am going now.And she layed down and
went to sleep in the arms
of the Lord. Even though my story
was a sad one.I want to tell
you as women please do a breast
check every month and get a friend to do it the same time you
do.Here in Colorado they call it the buddy check. When we call
each other on the ninth of each month to remind each other
to do the check up.Please don't go through this valley of
awful pain and take your family with you.Do a buddy check.
Well I guess I have about told you all I wanted to say here.
May God be with each and everyone one of you...
This little dove is to be on
others sites that have gone through
cancer .
