Pond or Water Garden
Maybe a Lake
Do you want more plants, more fish, and do you have a natural
body of running water enterring your pool.
I could not find any "good" definitions of
"Pond/Water Garden/Lake" so I will make them up for you...
A pond is a still body of water, with no creek, river or natural
flow by nature, to and from. Usually contains fishies.
A water garden is an area of plants that are asthetically
pleasing, and takes a little effort to maintain. Can be inches to feet deep and any
number of shapes or sizes.
The old folk in the area, anyone over 25, call any body of water
that has been dammed up for the purpose of making a collecting pool, with run-off,
eventually ending up further down the road..... (hopefully not flooding anyone), a LAKE.
Sometimes they are called water-shed lakes... I prefer something that you can ski in, to
call a lake.
The answer: Your water garden can be a small pond with
plants and fish, but I would suggest not having nature supply a running flow of water.
You might loose too much of your effort if it rains.
