Ginger Lemonade

2 c. boiling water
1/3 c. ginger
1/3 c. honey
2 c. fresh lemon juice

Steep ginger and honey in water for 10 minutes. Add lemon juice and chill. Carry to picnic in thermos and pour over crushed ice. Garnish with lemon slices.

V-3 Juice

10 - 12 tomatoes, sliced
1/4 c. vinegar
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 bay leaf
2 shoots of celery leaves
2 slices onion

Bring all ingredients to boil, then simmer 30 minutes. Strain and seal in sterilized pint jars or chill in refrigerator until serving.

(Pour juice into a tall glass filled with ice cubes and garnish with a celery stick. A super pick-me-up for a hot day!!)

Yield: 4 cups
