How can I back up my contact list?

Here are the steps that you will need to follow:

1. Find your ICQ directory - normally under program files.

2. Inside your ICQ directory should be a "DB" directory

3. Copy your "DB" directory to a floppy disk and keep safe.

- You have now backed up your contact list. You can follow the same procedure to update this back up, from time to time

To restore your contact list later;

1. Install ICQ 98a completely

2. Make sure ICQ is shutdown

3. Find your ICQ directory

4. Copy your "DB" directory from your floppy disk to the ICQ directory

5. When it asks to replace existing directory and contents, click on "YES"
