I just reloaded ICQ and I want to get my old UIN back.

This seems to be a common problem for a lot of people. To prevent this from happening, make sure you write down your UIN and your password when you register - you will need both.

In the event you don't have either one of those, take heart, there are a few things you can do.

Method #2

Try to have a friend search for your name or e-mail address through their ICQ program:

1. Open ICQ

2. Click on the ICQ Main Menu

3. Select the Add/Find User

4. Select ICQ Main Search Engine

5. Input either the name or e-mail address for the UIN that you are looking for.

Method #3

The last thing that you can do is to reregister under another UIN. Later you can check to see if your original UIN is still active and, if so, you can delete your new UIN.
