My southern roots are not as well documented as those from New England. My maternal grandmother was born in Ozark, Dale, Al and her parents were born in Georgia. My maternal grandfather was born in Jasper, Walker, Al. Any assistance in gaining greater knowledge of this line will be greatly appreciated.

Co., Al.) = Mary ? (b 1855 Georgia d 1 July 1932 Dale Co., Al.) Married 1868.......Some of
this information was extrapolated from the 1910 US Census for Dale County, Alabama.
According to the census they appear to have had 9 children. GW (born 1868 in Ga.) may have
been the oldest. He appears as head of a family on same census sheet on the same road,
Blue Springs Rd. at Barnes Crossroads. GW was married to Ada and had a son named George.
It is reasonable to suspect that GW was also named George therefore. JT may have
actually been Joseph T. based on the 1850 US Census for Franklin County, Georgia.
Youngest among JT & Mary's children was Ora, my grandmother and the only child in the
home at the time of the census. |

They had three children who survived to adulthood: William Theodore (b 25 Jun 1913 Ariton, Dale, Al. d Nov 1973 Dade Co., Fl), William Lon, Jr, (b 7 Jun 1919 Carabelle, Franklin, Fl d Jan 1971 Hialeah, Dade, Fl) & Ruby Marguerite (b 14 Sep 1924 Jacksonville, Duval, Fl living Delray Beach, Fl). |
