W.O.2 HINES DIES AT 33


Stationary Engineer For Reserve Units

W.O.2 Kenneth Hines 2240 Wellesley,

A stationary engineer

for St. Luke's Road Barracks

and the Windsor Armories

for the past 12 years,

died suddenly in Grace Hospital yesterday.

He was 33.

BORN IN ESSEX

Born in Essex,

S.S.M. Hines came to Windsor

shortly after he enlisted

in the Royal Canadian Engineers

in 1939.

He served with that unit

until the end of the war.

In 1946 he joined

No. 6 Technical Regiment, R.C.E.M.E.,

and was on

a regular army call-out

from reserve force to serve

as stationary engineer for the two barracks.

He was a member of St. Andres's Anglican Church.

Surviving are his wife,

Marie Anne;

his parents,

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hines,

of Essex;

two daughters,

Gloria Anne and Diane Gail,

both at home;

four brothers,

Elmer and William

both of Windsor,

and Edward Jr., and Donald,

both of Essex:

two sisters,

Mrs. Donald Maedel

and Mrs. George Daughtery,

both of Essex.

FUNERAL SUNDAY

Funeral will be Sunday

from Anderson's Funeral Home,

895 Ouellette,

at 1:30 p.m.,

Rev. H.R. Nobles, D.D., officiating.

Burial is to be held

under semi-military auspices

at Victoria Memorial Park.

Honorary Pallbears are
