Hi! I am 40 yrs old,
and a single mother of 2 adorable boys, Michael
Robert (7 yrs old), and James Ian (6 yrs
old).Their father walked out on us when I was 7
months pregnant with Jamie. So for the past 4 1/2
yrs I've been trying to raise them on my own.
Thank-God for extended families! I would never
had made it if not for my mom and dad, sisters
and brother. Each have helped out time and again
                in their own unique ways.
                About 3 years ago, I
felt a great lack in my life, but didn't know
just what was missing. As I was flipping through
the cable channels one night, I came upon a
program about The Blessed Virgin Mary appearing
around the world, especially in Medjugorje and
Garabandal. I became entranced, having been
unaware all this was going on. I felt a strong
desire to pray the rosary, which I hadn't done in
years.( I was raised Roman Catholic, but had
fallen away in my teens.) I didn't even know if I
had one in the house! As I searched, all I could
find was the crucifix. I thought about going
upstairs and borrowing a rosary off my mother,
then decided I could wait until pay day to buy
one. Suddenly Jamie came into the room and said,
"Here's your beads mommy." And in his
outstreched hand was the rosary beads! Mind you I
never told either boy that I was looking for
those beads...I guess Our Lady wanted me to start
                right away!
                That night started me
on my journey back to The Roman Catholic church.
I've still got a very long way to go, and much to
learn. But I've made some very good friends on
the Catholic Mothers Internet Connection, and
                learned alot there too!
                I welcome any comments,
                email me at cathmomma@aol.com.
                May God bless you!
