Peacocks are lovely and nice birds to have around the house. They are very docile but can get a little noisy through the springtime. Unlike a rooster, they carry on their loud screams 24 hours a day at the height of the mating season. I can walk right up behind my big male, who I have named Rambo, when he is strutting his stuff and stroke his big tailfan. I feed them a 50/50 mix of game bird chow and crushed corn. I have been told they live about 15 years. I don't have any for sale right now. One of my hens turned up missing this past summer so I only have one hen. Once I have built up a larger flock, I will start incubating the eggs and hopefully have some for sale. Pictured below are India Blue Peacocks and Pied Peacocks. As of 7-11-00, I have 4 healthy India Blue peachicks. I will keep you posted.
