Who We Are, Where We Came From

Hi, We are the Welle Family. I am new at this so, please bear with me while my "coach" pushes and prods me through this. We have shared intrests for different reasons, of course. Aside from our family which is grown and except for one moved out of the nest, our major common intrest is Labrador Retrievers. You can visit our links to view the dogs. While my wife's intrest is husbandry and showing of the dogs, my real intrest is hunting with my four legged kids.

Because this is a "Family" page, we would like to elicit response from any other "Welle" families out there. I know there are quite a few. An old acquaintance of mine told me that the name "Welle" in Germany was like "Smith" in America. So if you are related to a "Welle", "Schmid", "Voss", "Ross","Wolters", or "Schultzentenburg" from Minnesota, North or South Dakota. Please, get back to us. We'd love to compare notes and maybe even add a little to the Family Genealogy notes in the Family Bible. My father is from Avon, in Stearns County, Minnesota. That should give you a point of reference about our family origin
