One special part of the holiday season are the special treats that are prepared so lovingly by family and friends. Hopefully on this page I will be able to share with you some wonderful Christmas goodies that you can prepare yourself to share with your loved ones to make your holiday that much more special.

CHRISTMAS RAINBOW CAKE

1 pkg.white cake mix
1 pkg. Rasberry Jello
1 pkg. Lime Jello
2 C.boiling water
9 oz. container of Cool Whip

Make the cake according to directions and bake in 2 well greased 9" pans-350 degrees for 25 to 30 min. Poke well with a fork at 1/2" intervals. Do not remove from pans. Disolve each Jello separately and pour one color over each cake layer. Chill for 4 hours. Unmold one layer and top with Cool Whip. Unmold the other layer on top of the first and cover the top and sides with Cool Whip. Chill well and top with cut flattened gumdrops and cherries. Yummmmmmm.

Pumpkin Pie Squares

1C.sifted flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 C quick cooking rooled oats
1/2 c. butter
Mix together and press into an ungreased 13 x 9" pan. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
1 lb. can pumpkin (2 cups)
1 13 oz. can evaporated milk
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. ginger

Blend well(use the blender), pour into the crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min.

1/2 C. chopped pecans (or walnuts)
1/2 C. brown sugar (firmly packed)
2 Tbls.butter

Mix and sprinkle over the above. Return to oven for 15-20 minutes until filling is set. Cool in pan on rack and cut in 2" squares. Makes 2 dozen and is Delicious!!!!!!
