I found your site very interesting. I really enjoyed it! The Chandler's I am looking for are descended from Willis Albert Chandler, who was born in NC around 1798. Don't know anything about his parents, or siblings. Family legend says there are 14 brothers and 1 sister, but I've found NOTHING! All I know is that he was born in NC. Much of the later family was raised in MO and OK, to where they eventualy had relocated. Darlene

I like your web page. My Maternal Grandfather was James Franklin Williams from Wayne Co., Missouri. I don't know his father's name, but in a census record, it said that his father was born in Missouri. James married Cora Belle McConnell in 1899. James was born on April 10, 1874. He was married before he married Cora and had two daughters, Hallie & Carrie. I don't know who their mother was. His mother was Emily Wynn. She was married several times and he had half-siblings. I do know that he had a br ther Bill, a sister Jennie and a sister Byrd and also a half brother by the name of Walter Ward. If you run across any of these name, please contact me. Thank you.

I believe the Pruitt line is Cherokee or my Great-Great-Great Grandmothers ancestors. I was told that she was Cherokee, but my mother says she's not sure which tribe. They resided in Oklahoma. On my Husband's side of the family, through his mother he is p rt Chickasaw, Chocktaw or Cherokee we're not sure. She was born in Texas. I wish every one Good Luck in there quest for their Native American Ancestry and other nationalities. Janet

My Father, Floyd Thomas Williams was born 30 1910 on the banks of Pryor Creek on Grampa Scoggins place at Pryor. I have Williams & Hilton info to share with Hilton family that may still live at Pryor or anyone interested in these sirenames

I know exactly how you feel about wanting to complete your genealogy before your MOM died. My husband and I both have experienced that same feeling, so keep on searching she would be proud of you for your continued effort. My husband is decendent of Chero ee and we are finding it really difficult to prove his heritage, proably because we really don't know how and his father was the last living elder in his family and refused to pass on the information we needed to cont. on with our search, he still lived w th the fear of telling anyone his heritage and because he and his brothers were put out to work on farms when they were very young it's nearly impossible to track them. So if anyone reading your list has ever known anyone with the name GREENHAWK I would s re like to hear from them.

We are another Wiggins family in Oklahoma. Our information ends with Hiram H.H. Wiggins (b.11-28-1826 in Ontario, Canada, d. 3-18-1889, m. Lucinda M. Jones. His father's name was Samuel, but I have no information on him. Any leads would be appreciated. br>

Hi Jerri: I enjoyed your narrative on your family. I met you at the Chandler Association Reunion in Longview, Texas on Sept. 20th. I just wish that I could have visited with you longer but I made the mistake of bringing relatives that was not into gene logy. Maybe at another reunion or sometime when we are traveling on our way back to visit in Manitoba, Canada we can stop and give you a call. My husband is a retired Royal Canadian Mounted Policeman, so we have relations in both counties as I was bor in Texas.
