      Title: Disorderly Lentils
 Categories: Low-fat, Mcdougall
      Yield: 1 servings
 
      2 c  Red lentils
      4 c  Water
      1    Onion; chopped
      1    Green bell pepper; chopped
    1/2 c  Grated carrot
      2 c  Tomato sauce
      2 tb Soy sauce
      2 tb Parsley flakes
      1    Bay leaf
    1/2 ts Chopped fresh garlic
    1/2 ts Basil
 
  Combine all ingredients in a medium pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat,
  cover, and simmer for 30 minutes. Serve over toast, fat-free crumpets,
  fat-free English muffins, or whole wheat rolls.

       15    minutes Cooking Time:
       30    minutes
  
  Recipe Hint: This recipe could also be served over baked potatoes or
  grains. This recipe freezes well and reheats well.
