Ben is a WWII Veteran, an avid walker, wears a gold baseball cap and always wears a smile. He still makes it to all the VFW meetings and last year walked in our local parade. He was on one of the ships in the harbor of Japan when they surrendered. He worked in the CC's.He surveyed the northern part of Minnesota and also helped plant many trees. Also, while he was surveying he came in contact with the notorious Al Capone. That's one of his favorite stories he likes to tell. His parents had 13 children.He had many jobs over the years. One he liked alot was as a Milkman. He went to all the resorts in the area and loved that contact with people. He also bowls. I think this last year was his first year he hasn't bowled in almost all his adult life. He also likes to play pool and can beat your pants off. He's a crafty kinda guy. He's married and has a lovely wife named Emily. She is quite crafty too! They take care of each other. They have 6 adult children and have 15 grandkids. Ben still drives.And take their chances at winning the lottery. He's a good fart.
