Richard Emory Bastin, known as 'Dick Emory', was a son of Thomas and Louanna (Shofner) Bastin. He married Nancy Ellen 'Ella' Kidd on 06 Mar 1870. They lived in Hart County, KY; many of their descendants still live there, although there are also many in Kansas. 'Dick Emory' was a Great Grandson of Thomas and Hannah Bastin of Caswell County, NC.
