Here is a casual photo of John William Bastin (Son of Thomas Howard Bastin, grandson of Henry Anderson Bastin). He was born on 13 October 1893 in Monroe County, IN and married Tillie May Gooldy on 08 May 1920. He was a US Army WW I veteran. He and his wife Tillie May Gooldy Bastin lived in Bloomington, IN until 1933. After 1933, they lived in Elletsville, IN. He died on 18 Sep 1955 (some sources claim 15 Sep 1955), and is buried in Valhalla Cemetary, Bloomington, IN. Tillie May Gooldy Bastin is also buried there.
John William Bastin was a great great great grandson of Thomas and Hannah (Brockman) Bastin of Caswell County, NC, descended from their son John Bastin by John's first wife, whose identity is not known for certain.
