Here is a picture taken in Detroit from just before WW I of some of our BASTIN family with central Kentucky connections. Shown in the photo (left to right) are Mrs. Alford H. (Allie Prudence Ross) Bastin, Mrs. Clinton Bowen ("Curlie" Insko) Bastin [Al Bastin's grandfather's first wife - we don't know her real first name], Miss Martha Klingman, Miss Adelaide Klingman (Al Bastin's grandfather's second wife and grandmother - married Al's granddad following Curlie's untimely death in the mid 1910's), Mrs. Robert (Mamie Bastin) Goff, and Mrs. Mary Insko ("Curlie's mother"). Taken in front of Clinton and Curlie's home at 306 E. Philadelphia Avenue, Detroit, September 10, 1914.
