Here is a picture of the children of Samuel Smith Bastin. Samuel Smith Bastin was a Great Grandson of Thomas and Hannah Bastin of Caswell County, NC. Photo is probably from just before World War I, judging from their apparent ages and style of dress.
The identities are not certain, but the lady on the far left is believed to be Mary B. 'Belle' (Bastin) Lay. Immediately behind her is possibly her husband, Eligah Lay (b. ~1860 TN). ('Belle' was born in 1865 in Lincoln Co, KY.) Third from the left is probably James Monroe Bastin (01 Feb 1867 - 19 May 1935). The others include John and Mary (Possibly Mamie) Bastin, and Jim and Cora A. (Bastin) Carrier. Jim Carrier was born 08 Oct 1875 and died 23 Mar 1957. Cora (Bastin) Carrier was born on 16 Apr 1875 and died on 12 Dec 1937. Jim and Cora are possibly the two on the far right. Kathy (Bastin) Kelley is still researching just who is who.
