It can be rough for us too!

When does your day begin? Well mine really never ends. That is why us dogs don't bother with the dates.

I am up all through the night. You never know when that truck that I hear down the street is going to pull in here and bother my humans. Then there are the cats always makin' a racket in the kitchen. They are always scrounging trying to see what they can get into. Me, of course I have to bark and chase them back into Cassie's room. They don't belong in my part of the house anyway. Oh, in case you're wondering, my part of the house just happens to be where ever I am.

When my human Sami is sleeping by herself, I get to sleep (nap) on the end of the bed. That way I can keep a really good watch on the front door. Besides it is softer here…

Of course, when both my humans are sleeping I sleep on the floor at the end of the bed. I can't get very far away, because someone may need me.

When they are gone all day, I have to make my rounds in the yard as quickly as possible, upon someone's return. There may be something that has come up in the yard that needs my immediate attention. See I have to keep an eye on the yard as well as the house. And once we carry it that far, the neighborhood is really not that big. Someone has to keep an eye on all that traffic across the street. It might as well be me. I can bark for their company as well as ours.

So you see, my days never really have a beginning or an ending. So who cares if I take an occasional nap here and there? Then it gets turned into A Dog's Life… huh!
