Floorcloths are a very old idea from the 18th & 19th century.  People who could not afford the rich handtextured carpets would paint on a canvas material and put it on their floors as a decorative item. Today, the art has changed very little, they are still on canvas, we just have a more up to date paint process. I love these and I love doing them.  You can take them outside and hose them off or mop them as you would a floor.

This one is a Christmas design that doubles as a checkerboard and has matching checkers and a bag to keep them in.
