Before I post a couple of poems here, I want to say
that I have been all over the internet and I wish I
could post each and every poem I have ran across.
I will add new pages as you send in the poems.

My son Buryl's First Poem.

When you're down no joy to be found,
Think Of God and His Love all around.
Think of how Jesus died on the cross ,
So your soul may not be lost.
So when you see everything depressing,
Look to God and count every blessing.
To Jesus give your life and your heart,
And from then on, pray you'll never part.
Win souls over to the Lord,
And your prize will be a righteous reward.
Many will hate and despise,
But there is greater Love in the Father's eyes.
When all is said and done,
The gates of Heaven you have won.

    THE GIFT OF LOVE

We mortals tend to take in stride
Each gift our Lord bestows,
Our health and wealth we wear with pride
..Make certain that it shows

We live each day without a thought
Of giving thanks to God -
We walk amid the beauty wrought
Along each path we trod.

We listen to a tiny bird
Who has a song to sing
And never give a sign we heard
The sound of anything

I sometimes feel that God on high
Must give up in despair
But all He seems to do is sigh

FRIENDS WITHOUT FACES

We sit and we type, and stare at our screens
We all have to wonder, what this possibly means,
With our mouse we roam, through the rooms in a maze
Looking for something or someone, as we sit in a daze

We chat with each other, we type all our woes
Small groups we do form, and gang up on our foes,
We wait for somebody, to type out our name,
We want recognition, but it is always the same.

We give kisses and hugs, and sometimes flirt
I Yahoo we chat deeply, and reveal why we hurt
We do form friendships-but-why we don't know
But some of there friendships, will flourish and grow

Why is it on screen, we can be so bold
Telling our secrets, that have never been told
Why is it we share, the thoughts in our mind
With those we can't see, as though we were blind

The answer is simple, it is clear as a bell
We all have our prolbblems, and need someone to tell
We can't tell real people, but tell someone we must
So we turn to thhe 'puter, and those we can trust

Even though it is crazy, the truth still remains
They are Friends Without Faces, and odd little names

   FRIENDS

Sometimes in life,
you find a special friend;
someone who changes your life
just by being part of it
Someont whho makes you laugh
until you can't stop
someone who makes you believe that there
really is good in the world
someone who convinces you there rally is an
unloocked door just waiting for
you to open it
This is forever friendship

When you're down
and the world seems dark and empty
your forever friend lifts you up in spirit
and makes that dark and empty world
suddenly seem bright and full

Your forever friend gets you through
the hard times, the sad times
and the confused times
If you turn and walk away
your forever friend follows
If you loose your way
your forever friend guides you
and cheers you on
Your forever friend holds you hand
and tells you that
everything is going to be okay
And if you find such a friend
you feel happy and complete
because you need not worry
You hhave a forever friend for life
and forever has no end

Around the corner I have a friend
In this great city that has no end
Yet the days go by and weeks rush on
And before I know it, a year is gone
A I never see my old friends face
He knows I like him just as well
As in the days when i rang his bell
And he rang mine
Ir,  we werre younger then,
And now er are busy,tired men
Tried of playing a foolish game
Tired of trying to make a name
"Tomorrow" I say "I will call on Jim"
But tomorrrow comes and tomorrow goes
And distance between us grows and grows
Around the corner!-yet miles away
"Here's a telegram sir-"
"Jim died today."
And that's what we get and deserve in the end
Around the corner, a vanished friend

If you love someone, tell them.
Remember always to say what you mean
Never be afraid to express yourself
Seize the day, and have no regrets.
Most importantly, stay close to your friends and family,
for they havehelped make you the person that you are
today and are what it's all about .
Pass this along to your friends.
Let it make a ddifference in you day and theirs.
The difference between expressing love and having
regrets which may stay around forever
