The
first contact I received from a
Regala from Sasmuan, Pampanga was from Wilhelmina (Wilma) Regala, who
is
a daughter of the late General Jose Dizon Regala. Wilma and another
sister
resides in London, England. She provided me with a partial family tree
of
their branch of the Regalas of Sasmuan, beginning with her grandfather,
Isaac Regala. I initially named this the "Isaac Regala Branch".
Recently, I received some data from Tomas Bacala about the Regalas of
Lubao, which indicated that Isaac Regala, along with a sister, Simeona,
were born in Lubao and their parents were Timoteo Regala and Gregoria
Alfonso; their grandfather, Timoteo Regala was a son of Luis Regala and
Leoncia Garcia of Lubao. I also received a
partial family tree from another branch of Regalas of Sasmuan provided
by
Allan Regala, who is from a Regala branch from Floridablanca. This was
obtained
by Allan's brother from Ben Regala Mallari, grandson of Daniel
Regala.
The next contact was with Ben Regala Mallari himself. In January
and
February 2000 I was in contact with Marichie Banting-Leavitt and
her
mom, Teresita Regala-Laxa. Again, in January 2002 Maria
Banting-Leavitt provided updates and corrections to the Fabian Regala
Branch. In February 2002 Marianne L. Banting provided some
corrections and updates to the Fabian Regala Branch. The latest
contacts were in August and September 2003 from Leo Baltazar, Ciel Cena
Luy, and Risza Bernardo, who are direct descendants of Francisco
Baltazar and Benigna Regala. Leo, Risza, and Ciel provided
several updates on the descendants of Benigna Regala.
