My parents are Leroy A Barrett and Bertha Esther Loebrich. I will start my geneology here, with our family and work my way backwards as far as I can go on 15 megabytes of space.
Leroy A BARRETT was born on his parents farm in Swanton, Fulton Co, Ohio, on March 30, 1917.

Bertha Esther LOEBRICH was born in Toledo, Lucas Co, Ohio. She chose to come into this world earlier than expected and weighed in at 2 pounds, 6 ounces on March 24, 1920.

The story I have heard about their meeting is that my maternal grandmother, Gertrude Ethel Ursaline BIHLMAIER, (or it could've been my great grandmother...I'm not real sure...owned a restaurant in Toledo. My father's family were farmers and one day they brought a load of produce...my Mom said potatoes...to the restaurant. That is supposedly how my parents met...as my Mom said..."over a bushel of potatoes". She said it was love at first site...for her. This is the continuing saga of our families.

On November 21, 1936 my parents decided to tie the knot. They were married in Bowling Green, Wood Co, Ohio. My father had many different occupations through the course of their early marriage, but he always provided for the family. He spent most of his life working for the US Postal Service in Toledo, Ohio. He also worked for Seaway Foodtown grocery stores in Toledo, Ohio. My father also served in the US Naval Reserves during World War II. He loved his grandkids, all of them. My mother spent most of her life devoting all of her time to her children, although she did take on odd jobs, such as housekeeping for other folks, and she worked in the cafeteria of the elementary school I went to. There were times, too, in her life, where she drove a delivery van for a dry cleaners.

The family that was produced is as follows:

1. The firstborn is Ruth Evalina BARRETT. She was born on April 25, 1937 at 424 Danberry Street in Toledo, Lucas Co, Ohio. When she was 12 the family moved to a small farm (five acres)in Temperance, Monroe Co, Michigan. She went to Bedford High School until , on July 17, 1954, she got married to:

Anthony J. KORECKI who was born on November 7, 1931 They were married at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Wayne Street in Toledo, Lucas Co, Ohio.
2. William BARRETT was my parents second child. He was still born on November 3, 1938.
3.Russell Cyrus BARRETT came kicking and screaming into this world on November 12, 1939 in Toledo, Lucas Co, Ohio. He left his earthly life on September 3, 1990 while living in Santa Barbara, California. He is buried in Ottawa Hills Cemetery in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio, next to another brother and near my parents. Russ worked for Raytheon as an engineer. Russ was the black sheep in our family. A lot of people didn't understand why he did the things he did, but Russ marched to his own beat. I have always looked up to Russ. He is greatly missed by me. He married:
1) Mary Louise MCKEE on January 30, 1960 in Toledo, Lucas Co, Ohio.

2) Ruby Ellen DARROW NEIL

4.Timothy Wayne BARRETT graced our world on August 14, 1942 in Toledo, Lucas Co, Ohio. He left our world on March 21, 1985 while working as a principal for the Department of Defence in Harrogate, England. He suffered from cardiac arrest. He is buried in Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek, Michigan. Tim was an adventurer. He loved to travel the world and to go to new places, seeing new things. I greatly admired him. He is one who understood me. He helped me to raise my self-esteem level and for that I am always thankful. He married:
Donalda "Doni" Barbara DOEPKER on November 29, 1969 born on November 1, 1944.
5.Clair Lee BARRETT was brought into this world on March 22, 1945. Clair had cystic fibrosis and left our world onNovember 16, 1959
6.Randall Albert BARRETT arrived on October 15, 1948. Randy was the one who always picked on me when I was a child. He would do anything he could to make me cry. My Mom would always tell me he only picked on me because he loved me. I didn't believe her then, but I do now. He is a great person. Randy served in the US Air Force for years, retiring in 1997. He has a wonderful partner in his life:
Catherine Ann VAN SLAMBROUCK. They were married on April 11, 1969 in Monroe, Monroe Co, Michigan. She was born on September 24, 1947.
7.Rolland Delbert BARRETT followed on Randy's heels and was born 3 minutes after Randy on October 15, 1948. He married:
Deborah Viola FANN on February 20, 1971 She was born on August 24, 1950.
8.Pamela Kay BARRETT came into this world on February 11, 1951 in Toledo, Lucas Co, Ohio at Parkview hospital which is just across from the Toledo Art Museum, and I am sure is the reason Pam loved beautiful things and was creative. She left this life on May 5, 1988 and is buried in Roselawn Cemetery in La Salle, Michigan. She married:
David Lee IRONS on August 4, 1969 in Monroe, Monroe County, Michigan. His birthdate is: February 25, 1949.
9.Sandra Ellen BARRETT, me, was born on January 31, 1958 at Parkview Hospital in Toledo, Lucas Co, Ohio. I changed my name on April 16, 1996 to AlecSandra Rose BIHLMAIER.
