The poem below was in my e-mail a while back..I especially liked it, and want to share it with you.
What an awesome responsibility..representing Jesus!! Living my life so that Jesus shines out from me! As it says in Matthew 5, "letting my light shine" that others may see God in me!
Can I keep my tongue from saying what shouldn't be said? Can I keep my Goals, my priorities straight? Am I Faithful...to my Lord? Am I too timid to witness as I should?
And last but not least, does the Love of Christ shine from my life? It's easy to love my family, my friends...but not so easy to love those in my life that I come in contact with that are sooooo unlovable.."Lord, help me..love them THROUGH ME!"
*Now, HERE is your free gift, yours for the taking..Eph. 2:8:"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.."..Isn't that a beautiful promise? You pay nothing, but you have to reach out and take it! The requirement? ("Ah ha!" you say.."a catch!") Read on..the requirement is found in 1st.John 1:9: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." And then, the time old verse..God's promise..John 3:16:"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." There it is..your free gift..reach out and take it, if you haven't done so at some time in your life! God loves YOU, and wants His Son to be your Saviour, and be the ruler of your life. Jesus' death on the cross, truly DID crush sin!!
