Yep, today is a very special day! Not only is it the birthday of our country, but it is my husband's birthday too. So, we have twice the reason to be blessed today. Now our country is a lot older than Skip, thank goodness! ha On July 4, 1776, we claimed our independence from England and Democracy was born.
Each year on July 4, Americans celebrate that freedom and independence with barbecues, picnics, and family gatherings. Oh! we have lots of fireworks too. Skip says that the whole country celebrates HIS birthday. ha Of course, I'm constantly reminding him that there's this other birthday that we celebrate too.ha
