Robert Eugene (Bob) Cox was the GGGGrandson of Absolom and Martha "Garris"Cox 1779? who lived in Abbeville District SC.in the 1800s. In the 1800 census it shows that they had only 1 child, a daughter under 19, but in 1810 they had a son John T. "Turkey" born 1810 died 1876. This has not been proven as yet that this is our line I am only submitting it because it seems so at this time. I believe this first Absolom was the one that was postmaster of Wadesville. ---------------------------------------- John T. Cox met and married Sara Wade from Tennessee born in 1812.
