This
ribbon was tatted in size 20 thread. Finished size is about 2 1/2"
long. To make this ribbon, you will need two shuttles for split rings and red, white and blue thread. Wind shuttle one with blue thread, shuttle two with white thread and tie the two ends together. Instructions for the split rings are divided with a slash, change from shuttle one to shuttle two to work the second half of the split ring. Keep the picots on the inner side as small as possible. vsp = very small picot
Split Rings 1 - 5: 3 p 3 / 3 vsp 3.
Finish ends, stiffen if desired. Overlap ends, secure with a dot of glue. Add a pin to the back.
Split Rings 6 - 8: 4 p 4 / 3 vsp 3
Split Rings 9 - 11: 5 p 5 / 3 vsp 3
Split Rings 12 - 14: 4 p 4 / 3 vsp 3
Split Rings 15 - 19: 3 p 3 / 3 vsp 3
Finish ends.
Wind about 12" of red thread onto your shuttle, do not cut. Join to the first white picot. Keep your chains snug.
