Know all men by these presents that I Jackson Bushong of the County of Henry
and State of Indiana being of sound mind and in good health make this my
last Will and Testament.
FIRST I give will and bequeath to my beloved wife Lydia Bushong after my
death should she be living all of my real estate and personal property that may
be left of my estate after my death except such as may be necessary to pay
the expenses of last sickness and funeral which I direct to be promptly paid
out of my estate and also such amount of money as may be necessary to pay for a
suitable monument for myself and wife not exceeding four hundred dollars at
the discretion of my Executor.
SECTION TWO: I hereby appoint my son Peter P. Bushong my executor with full
power and authority to execute the provisions of my will and make all
settlements with each of the herein-after mentioned heirs without Bond or Security.
SECTION THREE: After the death of my dear wife should she outlive me and
after all expenses of her last sickness and funeral and all other debts if any
be paid out of them remaining estate, I then will and direct as follows.
SECTION FOUR: I will give and bequeath to my only son Peter P. Bushong the
following real estate in henry County State of Indiana the North East quarter
of Section (29) twenty nine Town -----
(18) Eighteen Range (9) Nine containing One Hundred and Sixty acres and also
twenty acres off of the North west quarter of sec. twenty nine (29) town
---- (18) Range Nine and also thirty acres of land off of the south end of the
East half of South quarter of section twenty nine (29) Town (18) Eighteen Range
Nine in fee simple and then directs him to pay the following amounts out of
the estate to wit.
SECTION FIVE: To my granddaughter or heirs Manervia A. Keams the sum of Four
Hundred and Fifty dollars ($450)
SECTION SIX: To my granddaughter and children Phebe T. Estell the Sum of two
hundred and twenty five dollars ($225)
SECTION SEVEN: To my granddaughter and her children Hannah N. Addison the
Sum of Two Hundred and Twenty five Dollars ($225)
SECTION EIGHT: To my granddaughter Cora C. Reddick the sum of Two hundred
and Twenty five dollars ($225)
SECTION NINE: To my granddaughter Lila L. Ellison the sum of Five Hundred
Dollars ($500) making a total amount of Sixteen Hundred and twenty five dollars
to be paid to my five grand daughters as named in the above sections by my
son Peter P. Bushong in the following order to wit:
SECTION TEN: Three months after the death of my wife P. P. Bushong shall pay
to my granddaughter Lila L. Ellison or her heirs if any the sum of One
Hundred dollars and one year later the sum of Five Hundred dollars to be equally
divided between the five heirs one hundred dollars each and to continue each
succeeding year at the same ratio until each heir shall have received the full
amount as stated above provided however that there is to be no interest
computed on any payment
SECTION ELEVEN: I further direct give and bequeath to my son Peter P.
Bushong after the death of my wife and after all expenses of her last sickness and
funeral expenses are paid all of the farming utensils, grain, hay and stock
of all kind that my remain on the farm
SECTION TWELVE: I further give and bequeath to my son P. P. Bushong and my
five grand daughters all of the household goods to be divided equally among
the six heirs. And should any of my grand daughters die intestate with no heir
living I direct that the amounts be divided among those that are living.
Given under my hand and seal this 17th day of August Eighteen hundred ninety
three (1893).

September 26, 1896 I Jackson Bushong amend section Ten so as to read my son
Peter P. Bushong shall pay only Four Hundred Dollars annually instead of Five
Hundred annually to be equally divided as provided in Section Ten.

The State of Indiana, Henry County, SS:
Be it remembered, That on the 26 day of April 1898, I. W. Cooper and N. R.
Elliott, the subscribing witnesses to the within and foregoing last will and
testament of Jackson Bushong late of said County deceased, personally appeared
before the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Henry County, in the State of
Indiana, and being duly sworn by the Clerk of said Court, upon affirmation declared
and testified as follows, that is to say: That on the 17th day of August
1893 they saw the said Jackson Bushong sign his name to said instrument in
writing as and for his last Will and Testament; and That these deponents, at the
same time, heard the said Jackson Bushong declare the said instrument in
writing to be his last Will and Testament and that the said Instrument in writing
was at the same time, at the request of the said Jackson Bushong and with the
consent, attested and subscribed by the said I. W. Cooper and N. R. Elliott
in the presence of said testator, and in the presence of each other, as
subscribing witnesses thereto. and that the said Jackson Bushong was, at eh time
of signing and subscribing of said instrument in writing, as aforesaid of full
age (that is more than twenty one years of age), and of sound and disposing
mind and memory, and not under any coercion or restraint, as the said
deponents verily believe And said deponents further say that on the 26th day of
September 1896 they saw the said testator sign an amendment to section 10 of said
Will and at the instance and request of said testator and in his presence
and in the presence of each other subscribed their neames as witnesses to said
testators signiture to said amendments I. W. Cooper N. R. Elliott
