Well it all started with me ...Hi I'm Max and I'm a chat-o-holic. Hey! Wait a minuet, that's my mom!!!...hehe...I'm a Boston Terrier. .oO(Much better) Mom gave me this space to do with as I please so here I am...ready to tell you some stories about me and my brothers and sister along with some other friends that I have met here on line. So sit back and keep those biscuits coming my way.
Well for starters I'm a real cute dog..and smart too. No wonder mom loves me so much. We go into obediance competition all the time and I got my CD in 4 trials...thank you, thank you..just throw biscuits please. I really love travelling around with mom to the trials, but it wasn't always like that :-(....You see I use to get real car sick..I remember when I was just a pup and mom was taking me to a family cookout....My auntie Mickey was in the truck with us....I was doing ok for awhile there just laying down between mom and auntie....but all of a sudden I could feel it.......well there was no place to go! And there was no way that I was going to get sick on mom!! ...she was driving and we all know about mom and accidents....So I turned to Auntie and let her have it. She was not too pleased with me but mom thought that it was pretty funny...In fact she had to stop the truck because she was laughing so hard. Sheesh....humans are funny people, "I'm sick mom, not cracking a joke!". Well I don't think that aunti Shell will ever look at me in the same way :-)
Life was good....then one day mom brought home this new puppy *rolling my eyes*. Sheesh it wasn't even a Boston like me....Mom was calling it a Boxer or something like that....well this little firecracker was very difficult to get use to...but I must admit that she is kinda cute *woofers*. Her name is Jody Girl Valentine or Jody for short. Now this was a hard time for me...I now had to share mom's attentions with Jody and believe me Jody needed a lot of attention (hehe..serves mom right for thinking that she needed any other dog for company besides me) Jody had what was called "separation syndrome"... personally I think that Jody used that as an excuse for when she would tear up the trash in the house when mom wasn't looking. Mom started to take Jody to training lessons but things were not as easy as they were with me :-) Jody's mind would not stay put on the job at hand...she loved to wander around the ring...she still has only 1 leg towards her CD and I really don't think that she will go any further. But Jody is a happy dog...I don't know if any of you are familiar with Boxers but they are a wigglie kind of dog....she is always bent in half and wiggles when she walks. Pssst....I think that she does that for my benefit *Woofers*
Well things started to settle down very nicely and then out of the blue Mom lost it!! If mom had her way the house would look like this !!! She came home one day with another one of those Boxer pups!!! Now I think that mom needs some training on how to say no to all of these so called "cute puppies". Well this little guy I could tell was not going to stay very little for long..sheesh mom did ya have to pick out the biggest pup in the litter??? She gave him some funky long name Marcus Arelius of Forestdale . Well mom kepted calling him her show dog...."Show Dog!!" what about me...I'm the only show dog in this house! Hehe...Well me let you in on a little secret that mom didn't know....Boxers need some flash on them and Marcus was as real plain duck...I mean dog. Marcus started to grow fast...I mean real fast! Mom had to start using another training facility just to fit all of us into classes. Now I'm no pushover but Marcus had some serious size over me and would push me and Jody out of the way to get to Mom. Good thing he's a laid back kinda dog.....sheesh! He grew to be close to 80 lbs. and that is with all muscle! Sheesh...this dog still to this day thinks that he is a lap dog to mom's dismay....hehehe *Woofers*
Things started to settle down as much as they could with having 2 cats and 3 dogs in the house and I have to admit that mom did a good job of making sure that we all got personal attention...But then something unbelievable happened....Mom pulled another ditsy move and came home with yet another boxer pup!! Now mom....you need serious help!! This new little guy she called Windkiss Magical Melody or Magic for short. Sheesh what ever happened to the good ole names like "Max" hehe. Magic I have to admit was a real handsome pup. Sheesh if you think that Jody wiggled her tush around you should see Magic strut his stuff! He would just not settle down. Mom started to take him to show handling classes and I could tell that she was getting a bit frustrated. Magic ran hot and cold....he would be unmanageable to start the classes and the next minuet he was falling asleep on the floor...hehe. Mom decided to turn him over to a handler to see what they could do with him. Unfortunately they told her that his tailset was too low and that it would cost a lot of biscuits to get him to champion. So mom exhaled and decided to just let him be a stay at home pet *much to my dismay I might add*. So off to obedience training we all went! Oh... I should mention that during all of this mom became a professional dog trainer and now works at Seaman's Dog Training Center..."I wonder why?" *Woofers*
Well grungely I have to mention the cats considering that they were here before me but being a dog...well you know how it is :-) First there is Mo-Mo ...he's a pound kitty that looks half coon/raccoon. He is pretty mean to us dogs let me tell you...he loves to sit in a chair and swat us as we walk by...sheesh what did we ever do to him besides chase him around the yard! Anyway Mo-Mo is 16 yrs old but you would never know it...still looks and acts like a kitty to me. Then there is Lance...who is pretty much a loner...he is a black and white cat who likes to forage in the woods and bring home presents for mom like snakes, mice, and birds. Mom tries to save the lives of all the presents except the snakes, but she has yet to succeed. Lance was 12 yrs old and always pretty nice to us dogs. Unfortunately we lost Lance this year right before Halloween. *sad woofers*
Well that's my family and
I really hope that it does not grow.....I don't think that I could go through
the puppy stage again with another dog. And mom....if you do happen to
come home with another puppy ...I'm outta here!!! *Woofers*
