Our Guardian Angel
Our Guardian angel came to us in the form or a little child
She stayed with us, and brought us joy, just for a little while.
And then one day her smile was dimmed, and how it broke our hearts
to know that God would call her home, and we would have to part.
So we held her close and whispered our love and faced each day with fear
And then one day we said good-bye and shed our bitter tears.
Now our hearts are sad and the tears still come when we think of our little girl
But we know that she's happy and her smile is bright again, in her
beautiful heavenly world.
But our Guardian Angel is still with us in mind and heart and soul
And we know she's watching over us, wearing a halo of purest gold.
