Adam was married(2) to Elizabeth Swingle. She was born on 23 Oct 1829 and died on 09 Dec 1904. She is interred with her second husband, Jacob B. Mason in the Stovertown Lutheran Church Cemetery, Stovertown, Muskingum County, OH. Adam became a Freemason in Malta (now Valley) Lodge No. 145 in Malta, OH on 16 Feb 1848.
