This is the best picture we have of our beloved cat Puddie. We had her for seventeen years. This was taken when she was two and we were fifteen years younger. This cat was a big part of our lives during that time and we do miss her very much. We've always laughed and said that we've stayed together, while our friends went through divorces, for the sake of the cat. Well that might not be entirely true but I know she enriched our marriage. It's awfully hard to sustain a good fight and not talk to your spouse when that darn cat does something so cute you feel you have to share it.

Age caught up to Puddie, as I guess it will to all of us, and in August of '97 we had to put her down. She was such a part of our lives we found we just couldn't live without a cat and for Christmas we added Teddy to our family. Where Puddie was always a "lady", Teddy is the consumate "goof". It's amazing the power of the heart to love and love again.
