HENRY GREENFIELD CHAMBERS was born Abt. 1827 in ,,Wilkinson Co, Ga, and died July 1854 in Wilkinson Co, Ga.

Will of Henry Greenfield Chambers

Knowing ye that I, Henry Greenfield Chambers, knowing the uncertainty of mortal life, but being of sound mind and memory, make this my last will and testament, viz:

I give and bequeath to my beloved mother, Martha Chambers the 240 1/ 2 acres of land more or less lying and being in the Third District of Wilkinson County, Nos. 148 and 149; and for and during her natural life and at her death to be equally divided between my brother John B. Chambers, and my two sisters, Elizabeth M. Lord and Martha Ann Chambers, (Martha Ann married John D. Freeman).

I also give and bequeath to my mother, Martha Chambers, my three Negroes, viz: Martha, a girl, about 18 years of age; Joseph, a boy about nine years of age and Dow, a boy about six years old, for and during her natural life, and at her death to my brother, John B. Chambers , and when his son, Green, becomes of age, the boy Joseph to belong to him, and at the death of John B. the girl Martha to belong to his s on, green also. Then the boy Dow is to belong to his son, John Chambers.

I also give and bequeath to my mother, Martha Chambers my interest in her dower of land for, and during her natural life; at the time o f her death, to belong to my sister, Martha Ann Chambers.

I also give and bequeath to my mother, Martha Chambers, all my person all property after paying my just debts, viz : horses, hogs, cattle, money , notes etc. to have and to use in any way and manner she may see cause to do . In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this July 5th, 1854 (signed Henry G. Chambers).
