My name is Kayla Noel Hathcote.
I live in Forest Hill, LA with my mom, Nancy, and brother Tyler.
My teacher is having a baby so I decided to make her a quilt.
I am in the 5th grade at Glenmora Gifted Program.
My grandmother has made many quilts
so I asked her to help me make a quilt for my teacher.
She helped me pick out fabrics from her "stash".
She cut out the pieces and I sewed them together.
We both did quilting but mostly Maw-maw did that.
We used her Janome 5000 to do some embroidery type quilting.
It turned out really nice and my teacher likes it alot. It's gonna
be a boy!!
She was so surprized that I gave her a quilt that I made my self.
And here is the finished quilt.
