The El Sparko Diablo Secret Macaroni and Cheese Recipe!

Actually this section is not just devoted to Macaroni and Cheese, but also includes several of El Sparko Diablo's other favorite pasta related dishes. What a bonus for you! I'll bet that you didn't expect this when you entered here, did you?

Macaroni With Cheese! A long time favorite of children and childish individuals everywhere, it comes as no surprise that El Sparko Diablo loves this too! Now he is willing to share his secret's with you, so that you too may enjoy the marvels that come within such a little box! Materials

Needed:

  • 1 box Kraft Macaroni And Cheese Dinner- Look, Mac 'n Cheze is cheap, so you might as well have good Mac 'n Cheze, right?
  • 1/4 cup milk- Normal milk works best, but if you like skim, go for it. It's your choice. It just won't be as rich.
  • 1/2 stick of butter- I use Country Crock
  • Chi Chi's Salsa- Hot, Mild or Medium to taste. I like medium.
  • 2 slices Kraft Singles American Cheese- Don't skimp on the cheese! You get what you pay for!
  • A pot to cook in- Hollowed out rocks, turtle shells, and empty skulls also work, but don't have that neat non-stick coating.
  • Clean Water- amount varies in relation to amount of noodles actually cooked, or size of the pot. The water needs to be clean, since dysentery is not always seen as an essential part of the dining experience.
  • A stove, fire, or other heat producing device- nuclear reactors do work, but the decontamination is YOUR problem.
  • A noodle strainer- Unless you want those noodles to go down the drain when you try to drain the water off!
  • A bowl or plate for the finished product
  • Something to eat with- Forks and Spoons work well, but you can use your fingers or have your significant other feed you if you want!

Directions:

  1. Follow the basic ones on the box for starters.
  2. If you can't follow them, then you have no business being here.
  3. After the noodles are cooked, dump them into the strainer.
  4. Leave the heat on the pot for right now, yer gonna need it, but turn it down to low.
  5. Dump the butter into the pot, and let it melt.
  6. Use this time to mix the cheese package from the box with the milk. Trust me, it makes it a lot easier.
  7. Dump the noodles back into the pot and get them covered with the butter.
  8. Add the cheese slices.
  9. Pour the milk/cheese goo into the pot, and stir, making a nice mac and cheese mixture.
  10. Add the salsa. Don't worry, it tastes better than it looks.
  11. Put it on a plate, and snack away.

Sparky's Tips:

  • Substitute steamed broccoli for the salsa, and you have another great meal!
  • Clean the pots before you eat. Trust me, it will take much less time if you don't let it dry.
  • Don't put your hand on the heating elements

Ramen Noodles! That's right, it's Ramen Noodles, a staple for all college students everywhere. I first got turned on to the Ramen Experience when I was stationed in Korea. I would go out and buy a case every two weeks, and believe me, this was pretty much the norm for everyone there. The mess hall just didnt cut it sometimes, when you needed that quick snack. My personal favorite was a brand that had what looked like a sun going nova on the front of it, to show that it was spicy. Since I came back to the states, I have found it occasionally, but since the import costs jack the prices up, its more economical just to go to Krogers (or your local grocery). After all, if you have money to waste, why are you eating Ramen?

Materials Needed:2 packages of Maruchan Ramen- Definately the brand to choose, especially the shrimp flavor. Stay away from Top Ramen at all costs!!!

  • A bowl-if you have a microwave safe one then that makes one less dish to wash off, provided you aren't too messy.
  • More Clean Water- Yep, you can never have enough of this great stuff!
  • A Microwave oven If you are in the Navy, then you can use the Radar Array on your ship. Just be advised that the cooking time might be shorter, and you might get cooked too.
  • 2 slices of Kraft American Cheese- Once again, you just can't skimp on the cheese.
  • 1 Bottle of Tabasco Sauce- Well, you don't actually need the whole bottle, just a teaspoon full of it.
  • Garlic Powder- To keep those pesky Ramen Vampires away.
  • Chili Powder- To keep everyone else away when your food digests.
  • A fork- Spoons dont work here, and it doesn't matter if you have a s.o. or not, because your breath will keep everyone away after this.

Directions:

  1. Smash the Ramen packages, unless you like dealing with long noodles. Don't do too good of a job though, no one likes eating dust.
  2. Open the packages, put the contents into your bowl, and take out the foil packages. Microwaves don't like the flavor packs for some reason.
  3. Fill the bowl with enough water to submerge the noodles.
  4. Put the bowl into the microwave, and nuke for a while. The time varies with how strong your microwave is. Mine has no huevos, so it takes me 4 minutes 30 seconds. Just cook long enough so that the noodles are no longer rock hard, and have become flexible again.
  5. Remove the bowl and pour off the excess water. If any of the noodles are still semi rigid, then work them a little with your fork.
  6. Add the cheese, and flavor packs. Add the Tabasco, garlic and cheese to taste, I usually use three shakes of each. No, that does NOT mean three shakes from the BIG HOLES IN THE SHAKERS, its three shakes from the little ones.
  7. Mix about, until it looks like pond water.
  8. Nuke it again for about 40 seconds so that the cheese melts.
  9. Remove and enjoy.

Sparky's Tips:

  1. Add meat for even more gastric thrills!
  2. Dry Fido in the oven at the same time, to save you time.
  3. Use the time that you are wasting by watching the timer to wash your hands and clean out the sink.
