One thing you need to know about Brad Renfro- he's as down-toearth as can be. Despite his critical successes in "The Client" and "The Cure", and all the fans he collected from "Tom And Huck, Btad's still a way normal guy. In fact, 16's secret "Sleepers" source told us that Brad is one of the coolest young actors around. "When you first meet him, he seems a little hyper," our spy spilled. "But once you get to know him, he really lets you in. He doesn't want to be phony at to lie or anything like that."

comments: Brad Renfro was just some kid living with his grandmother in East Knoxville, Tennessee, when casting director (Mali Finn) for The Client found him and made him a star. Well, actually, Brad did all the work. He was fabulous as the young witness to a suicide. He followed that up with a great role as a dieing boy's best freind in The Cure ; and as the ever mischevous Huck, in Disney's Tom and Huck . And last year's excellent and now on video, Sleepers , (directed by Barry Levison, and also starring Brad Pitt, Robert DeNiro and Dustin Hoffman). And the boy keeps on working! In the cans or in production, two more from Brad! Look for the Bradster in 1997 in: Telling Lies In America and Apt Pupil (shooting wrapped May 8th for the latter).
