Roy Fokker is one of the best characters in Macross/Robotech.
I will be talking about the Robotech version on this page.

History:

  • In the global war which occured before the landing of the SDF-1 on Earth, Roy shot down 108 enemy fighters.
  • Roy was part of the Robotech defense force from the beginning. He was the test pilot for the first veritech's.
  • On the official opening day of the SDF-1 (Booby Trap), Roy described the action of his squadron in the air show. Funny stuff since Rick had other ideas.
  • In the Zentradi's first attack, Roy shot down 10 of the Zentradi's fighters in his Skull-1 veritech.
  • When Roy's "Little brother" (Rick Hunter) came abord the SDF-1, Roy helped encourage him to enlist with the military, and also helped Rick gain confidence in himself.
  • Sadly, in a space battle with Miriya's squadron, Roy was injured, and later died due to loss of blood. there has been confusion as to what happened in this episode (Farewell Big Brother), but it seems that Roy's veritech had suffered some heavy damage and Roy was injured. His wounds were probably did not look serious, and Roy felt that he did not need medical attention. He died playing the guitar in Claudia's room.
