The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers

The Main Characters:

Captain Zachary Foxx- Zach is the captain of the ranger series 5 team. He possess a bionic arm which has the ability to strengthen his natural ability and to fire "Thunderbolts", his leg is also bionic. He first accquired his bionic arm in the episode "Phoenix" (also the first episode of the series), when the left side of his body was shot at (it is assumed that he was seriously injured). Also in that episode, Zach lost his wife Eliza, who we later learn had been taken by the Queen of the Crown to use for her psychocrystals (her body was later recovered - details below). Now, Zach fights as a Galaxy Ranger and has vowed to someday retrive Eliza's psychocrystal to revive her.

  • Zach has brown hair and blue eyes. He appears to be in his early thirties.

    Shane Gooseman- Shane (or Goose as he is frequently called), is the sole supertrooper left in the service of Beta. His participation in the Galaxy Ranger program is on condition that he become a 'bounty hunter' and recover the rest of the missing supertroopers. His abilities include 'biodefences' which give him the ability to 'morph' into anything he desires (same mass and must be a biped). He is nearly indestructable as he can heal his minor injuries by 'morphing'. He was a genetically designed soldier created by the Earth government to protect the Earth against alien attack and invasion (the supertroopers). He is believed to possess (at least partly) some of Commander Walsh's genetic structure, thus making him the son Walsh never had. Goose is also one of the most fascinating characters of the series as his past is somewhat shrouded in mystery. On another note, Shane is the 'classic cowboy' (on the exterior) and is a ladies' man. He is flirtatious around most of the women who have appeared in the series, most notably: Annie O, Maya of Tarkon, Darkstar (a supertrooper), Daisy O' Mega and Niko.

  • Shane has blond hair and green eyes. He appears to be in his mid to late twenties.

    Niko- Niko is a psychic with telepathic and telekinetic abilities. She was raised on a mysterious planet (Xandu) that does not appear on any maps or sensors. Her mentor in the powers of the mind is Ariel, a powerful alien being. Her last name was never revealed in the series, it is possible that she does not have one. Niko possess an interest in archaeology, is an expert at Tae Kwon Do and carries a large double-barreled gun, so, unlike most female characters in other animated series, she fully participated in the exploits of the rangers (Yeah!!!). As above Niko has carried a subtle "flirtatious" relationship with Goose...kinda annoying as nothing ever happend past that stage...

  • Niko has brown hair and greenish eyes that change to a purple/blue colour when she uses her powers. She appears to be in her mid twenties.

    Walter 'Doc' Hartford- Doc's abilities include a unique relationship with computer systems, he can create programs capable of invading computer systems to disrupt or control them. Not much information was ever revealed about Doc's past with the exception that he was an ace computer hacker at Beta. Doc was always the 'fun' member of the group, he always had a quip to crack at tense moments and not so tense moments.

  • Doc has brown hair and brown eyes, and appears to be in his mid to late twenties.

    Commander Joseph Walsh- Walsh is the official head of the Galaxy Rangers and BETA (Bureau of Extra Terrestrial Affairs). The Rangers was his project and he is very proud of them. He also seems to have a 'son' in Goose (explained in "Supertroopers), so he has always tried to keep Goose out of harm's way...the government wanted to put Goose on ice as he is part of the failed supertrooper project.

  • Single, but has always saw Goose as a 'son'.
  • He has brown hair and brown eyes, and appears to be in his forties or fifties.

    Ambassador Waldo- Waldo is the Andorian ambassador to Earth. Waldo is quite reserved and always acts in a dignified manner. He along with Zozo work closely with BETA and the Galaxy Rangers.

    Ambassador Zozo- Zozo is the Kirwin ambassador to Earth. He is a good friend of Waldo, and is quite amusing to watch.

    Buzzwang- Buzzwang is an android. Kinda funny to watch, but I personally don't like whole episodes centred on him.

    Q Ball- Q Ball is the resident doctor and technical/scientific whiz at BETA and Longshot. He with Dr. Nagata created the S5 implants.

    Dr. Nagata- Dr. Nagata was instrumental in the supertrooper project but his body was killed during the supertrooper breakout/riot. He now lives as brain matter in some sort of interactive computer pod. He also helped in the creation of the S5 implants.

    Supporting Characters:

    Eliza Foxx- Eliza is Captain Foxx's wife who was captured by the Queen of the Crown. The Queen used Eliza to create a psychocrystal. Her body was recovered by the Rangers on their first mission, but she is in stasis as the Queen possess Eliza's psychocrystal. Eliza can only be successfully revived with it.

    Zachary Foxx Jr.- Captain Foxx's son. Zach Jr. is currently attending school.

    Jessica Foxx- Jessica is Captain Foxx's youngest child. She is also currently attending school.

    Annie O- Annie O was first introduced when Goose crash landed on her planet. She and Goose have kept track of each other ever since.

    Senator Weiner ("whiner")- Idiot. Plain and simple. His title explains his job. Totally idiotic burecrat.

    Maya of Tarkon- First introduced when Goose was kidnapped by the General to compete in his 'games'.Maya and Goose were both competitors and Maya helped the Rangers, since then she's tried to keep tabs on Goose. Maya is the princess of the planet Tarkon, the anti-technology world. Maya heads a pro-technology rebellion on her planet.

    Daisy O' Mega- Daisy used to be the leader of the Black Hole Gang until the events of "Renegade Rangers" Since then she's been on the run and leads the life of an outlaw. She also likes Goose (as evident in "Renegade Rangers").

    Captain Kidd- Kidd is a priate. He deals with the highest bidder and is a bird-like species. He has a pet monkey(?) named Squeegie. Kidd is a comical character. He's married.

    Geezi- Geezi is a pedulont. An informer of BETA from Tortuna...at a price of course. His favourite line is, "Remember, you didn't see me. I don't exist."

    Cody 'Wildfire' Carson- An old friend of Zach's, sort of a cowboy.

    Adian Subtract- The 'Rainmaker'. He is Jackie Subtract's twin brother, whon he can't stand.

    Supertroopers:

    Darkstar- A supertrooper as well, but the only one who is in her right mind except for Goose. She has the ability to momentarily blind people. Goose cares a lot for her, but she has made it clear to Goose (in "Galaxy Stranger") that she chose to go with Stingray since Goose never said anything to her until it was too late.

    Stingray- Darkstar's 'boyfriend'. Stingray HATES Goose with a passion. Stingray has the ability to fire 'beams' from his eyes.

    Brainchild- Brainchild is a really smart supertrooper who's always dressed in a white suit and has a cigar in hand.

    Chimaera- She has hypnotic powers and blue hair.

    Ryker Kilbane- Kilbane is a supertrooper with a scar over one eye. He, like Goose has 'morphing' abilities, but also can blow knockout gas from his mouth. Loves to call Goose "runt", but somehow never seems to best Goose. Now on the run from Beta and leads the life of an outlaw.

    Jackhammer- He's one of the 'grunt' supertroopers.

    Gravestone- another 'grunt' supertrooper, he can change into solid rock.

    Shane Gooseman!-see above.

    Our Heroes' Antagonists:

    Brappo- Brappo is a crooked art collector with a taste for deadly sculptures. Always accompanied by his butler, Peters.

    MaCross- MaCross became the leader of the Black Hole Gang after Daisy. Always schemes up ways to get starstones and other things of value. He's ugly.

    The Queen of the Crown- The Queen is the ruler of a space empire. She wants humans for the production of her psychocrystals. She has hunted the Gherkins to near extinction for the same reason.

    Slaver Lords- A psychic construst of the Queen.

    Crown Agents- The Queen's hired guns, seem to be androids.

    Scarecrow- The Scarecrow is a very old life form and has an ages old grudge with the 'Heart of Tarkon'.

    Lazarus Slade- Possess an eye that can fire. Just a plain old villian.

    Nimrod- Nimrod seems to always enjoy 'hunts' of some sort. He has cat-like features.

    Jackie Subtract- A 'dealer' of stolen objects from Mars. (See Adian Subtract - twin brother)

    The General- The General is a one-eyed alien with a lazer weapon built into his hands. He is interested in cloning an army of metamorphs and believes Goose to be one, so he's always trying to capture Goose.

    Mogul- A comical 6-armed magician/sorcerer.

    Larry- Mogul's assistant.

    'Wild Bill' Krebb- All around bad guy, tried to steal the Mothmoose of Kerwin.

    Ernie- An android, tried to steal the Mothmoose along with Wild Bill.

    Gelatinous- Tried to steal the Mothmoose along with Ernie and Wild Bill.

    Horses:

    Triton- Triton is Goose's horse, he's very fast and is VERY loyal to him...my favourite.

    Brutus- Brutus is Zach's horse, very powerful.

    Mel- Niko's horse. Mel is revealed to not be as fast as Triton in "Scarecrow".

    Voyager- Doc's horse. Could never call Doc "Walter", and always called Doc "Wilbur" no matter what Doc has tried to repair inside her.

    AI's

    Alma- Alma runs any ship/interceptor Goose operates. She appears as a pink, white and blue oval shaped eyeball.

    GB- GB runs the Ranger 1 and Zach's home systems (mentioned in "Phoenix). He appears as a blue, green and black sphere shaped eyeball.

    Roberta (RB)- Cody 'Wildfire' Carson's AI.

    Buzzwang- The less sais about him the better...
