*** POINTS OF INTEREST ***

In Episode 1, it is clearly stated that Chester can't eat eggs, and yet Chester is served eggs during Episodes 1, 6, 23 and 46. In Episode 14, eggs are not mentioned, but each of the Tates has something yellow on their plate, and Chester is seen eating the tiniest shred of something unidentifiable. In Episode 90, Chester orders eggs at a diner.

***

In Episode 1, Eunice complains that her scarf is missing. In Episode 2, Jodie comes to dinner wearing the scarf, even though Jodie doesn't live in the same house with Eunice.

***

In Episode 2, Billy says he is 14 years old. In Episode 42, Billy says he is 15. In Episode 59, Billy turns 18. It therefore took him 40 episodes to age one year or less, but only took 17 episodes for him to age another three years. In the same period of time, Wendy does not age at all.

***

In Episode 10, The Godfather tells Mary that his name is "Jo Jo Smith". Considering his shady background and his Italian accent, this probably isn't his real name.

***

Although the competition was fierce between Carol, Corinne and Mary, THE SHORTEST PREGNANCY OF ALL TIME AWARD goes to Carol David. Jodie has sex with Carol for the first and only time in Episode 24. Carol announces that she's pregnant in Episode 27. If Corinne's calculations about her own pregnancy are correct, only three weeks have passed between Episode 31 and Episode 37. (This three-week span over seven episodes is questionable in itself: Episodes 34 and 35 are consecutive days because of Burt visiting Sally and waking up in her apartment the next morning. Episodes 36 and 37 are consecutive days because of Elaine's kidnapping and the arrival of the ransom demands.) When Jodie sees Carol in Episode 41, her shirt is not tucked in but she doesn't look at all pregnant. Three months pass between Episode 42 (when Jodie meets Alice) and Episode 49 (when Alice and Jodie celebrate their three-month anniversary). Also in Episode 49, Mrs. David arrives with Wendy. In Episode 53, while Mrs. David is still visiting, Jodie states that Wendy is three months old. If all of the above is correct, Carol must have given birth between Episode 41 (when she was not yet visibly pregnant) and Episode 42 (when Jodie met Alice). It is unlikely that any significant time has passed between these two episodes, because Sally lies to Mary about Burt's affairs in Episode 41, and Mary leaves Burt for the same reason in Episode 42.

FIRST RUNNER UP: Tim and Corinne's wedding night is interrupted by Mother Flotsky's death, so Tim couldn't have impregnated Corinne until at least Episode 31. Corinne announces her pregnancy in Episode 34. In Episode 37, Corinne protests that she should only be three weeks pregnant. Corinne gives birth in Episode 43, apparently about 8 months premature. (Technically, Corinne's pregnancy should be disqualified because of the demon possession.)

HONORABLE MENTION: Mary's encounters with Alien Burt took place between Episode 49 and Episode 55. Mary is reported pregnant in Episode 60, and gives birth to Scotty in Episode 72. In Episode 90, Mary says that Scotty is 12 months old. Wendy, however, is not significantly older in Episode 88 than she was in Episode 53, and Wendy was born before Scotty. (Mary also might be disqualified because of the baby's possibly-alien father.)

***

One of the cult members in Episodes 50 and 51 is played by Robert ("Freddy Krueger") Englund.

***

Jessica and Mary's maiden name is either Gatlin (as stated by Jessica in Episode 51 and Burt in Episode 58) or Gatling (as stated by Jessica in Episode 86). In the spinoff series "Benson", Benson is employed by Jessica's cousin, whose last name is clearly Gatling.

***

As shown in syndication on Comedy Central, Corinne disappears and Saunders appears in the opening credits after Episode 52, even though Corinne continued to appear in the stories until Episode 74 and Saunders did not appear until Episode 67.

***

In Episode 54, Billy sees Eunice having dinner with someone other than Dutch. At the beginning of Episode 56, Eunice makes a snide remark about Billy's involvement with his teacher, and Billy responds with a comment about Eunice's infidelity to Dutch. Billy and Eunice are therefore well aware of each other's romantic indiscretions. Later in Episode 56, Eunice acts surprised on seeing Billy and Leslie together, and is also defensive about the identity of her own male companion. This apparent contradiction suggests that the order of broadcast was not yet decided when these scenes were filmed.

***

In Episode 60, Burt says that he knows about having babies because he already has three kids. Since Peter and Chuck are his only known biological children, he must be counting Bob.

***

In Episode 62, Eunice asks Corinne if she needs to be quiet on account of little Timmy. Corinne replies, "Don't worry, he sleeps like a log". In Episode 63, Dutch asks Corinne if little Timmy is asleep, and Corinne replies, "Not a chance. He needs less sleep than I do".

***

In Episode 73, Eunice mispronounces Corinne's name as "Coreen".

***

In Episode 78, Danny calls Gwen by her first name, even though she has not divulged it to him.

***

In Episode 85, we meet the Governor of Connecticut. This is clearly not the same character as the Governor in the spinoff series, "Benson", who is Jessica and Mary's cousin.

***

In Episode 90, George ("Norm Peterson") Wendt appears as an employee at a greasy-spoon diner.
