  • keep reading that people want to find the 1968 soundtrack from Zeffereli's Romeo and Juliet. I got the CD earlier this year quite easily. Border's Books ordered it for me. I got it in about 3 or 4 weeks, maybe less. The soundtrack has the music and the dialogue from several scenes in the movie. It's just lovely. I think the cost was $11.95 or there abouts, so give it a try.

  • R&J is coming back to the big-screen for a limited time! It's called "The ROMEO & JULIET Tour" and is in Dallas for this coming weekend ONLY!

  • Does anyone know what Romeo's car was called? I know it's 'something' 'Prilgim' but I can't read it! I've got Benvolio, Capulet and Mercutio cars names ( 'stratford baronet', 'noble executioner' and 'monarch masque').

  • Hi everyone! I just wanted to tell you this: On Wednesday (15th) I went to Verona and of course I saw Juliet's house and balcony. It was really cool but there were too many people walking around. I also saw Romeo's house but just from the outside because it was closed. I didn't had the time to visit Juliet's grave which was stupid. After this trip I'm searching for all R+J stuff (again) and I have these questions: Does anyone know where I can find the R+J sheet music? I'm also looking for the R+J special which was on MTV. I really need it. (I know it was on TV a long time ago but R+J just started here in Germany on March, 13th, '97.) Can anyone tell me more about it? Well that was all, I hope someone can help me.
    ---Hanna
  • Great news for R+J! The BAFTA Awards (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) were handed out this past weekend and R+J won 4 awards! They were:
    Best Direction
    Best Adapted Screenplay
    Best Music
    Best Production Design
This totally made up for the snub from Oscars last year. All the awards are deservedly won, especially for Best Direction and Best Production Design.

  • Hi,you don,t know me, but I was recently surfing around for something obscure, which seem to be the things that are of greatest interest to me.Great stuff that,s hard to find. That,s o.k. , I,m getting used to it.I accidently happened upon your "Romeo and Juliet 68" page and I simply could,nt believe it! This is my all time favorite movie and I NEVER see anything anywhere about it.It has been sadly overlooked.I think tnat the Leonardo DiCaprio movie has probably created an awareness of the 68 film,s existence and prompted a whole new following of the film among this newer generation of R andJ lovers.Whatever the reason, it,s great to see this interest and appreciation in and of this beautifully made film.I am getting married in a medieval style wedding in June, and really wanted to incorporate SOMETHING of my favorite romance into the ceremony and my fiance agreed. We managed, after much hunting, to find an old original album of the soundtrack, so even if we can,t special order it on disc, we will use "What is a Youth?" for our wedding song.It made my heart smile to find your page.I was only nine or ten yrs. old when the film was released[ yes, that,s right, that would make me forty yrs. old, but I am still very much a romantic at heart, these things dont, wither with the years].I can tell that you are somewhat young, but I felt that your devotion to this lovely film deserved due praise.Although it is a little rough around the edges, it is clear that very much tender, loving care went into your work and it gave me hope that there is hope for this new generation of romantics. What a wonderful thing to know...Please keep up the good work and stay loyal to R and J 68. It will serve you and your heart well. I still believe in love and its imeasurable worth and THAT is the magic of this story. Thankyou, and all who helped you in putting this together, for this .If you would care to respond, my name is Robin, and you may e-mail me at fred-b-woodcraft@worldnet.att.net By the way, you might be interested in this, I have heard more than once, that Olivia Hussey is actually Franco Zefferelli,s daughter, and that this fact was concealed to avoid any bad publicity that this might have incited.I have always until recently, simply accepted this as an absolute truth, and never questioned it.I guess it never really mattered to me. Just curious what you may or may not have heard about this. If you don,t want to write back, I,ll understand, but whatever you do, don,t give up on what you are doing .Best wishes, Robin P.S., regarding the question of whether or not Zefferelli is Hussey,s father, one thing I can say ,iss that I think I have actually seen this much mentioned in the brief synopsis that T.V. Guide provides when they decide to air the film, so keep an eye out for this.

  • I live in Australia and have been trying for a few years to find the soundtrack from 1968's Romeo and Juliet. I have also looked at a couple of the CD sites online, but have come up with nothing so far.

  • Hi, I have a Romeo and Juliet English essay due SOON and I was wondering if any R+J fans can give me some pointers, ideas and comments on "Who's fault is it that Romeo and Juliet died?" I picked Romeo and Juliet of course. In essence, I blame them for their own death. The following are reasons why it is Juliet's fault:
SHE SHOULD STAY AWAY WITH ROMEO WHEN SHE FOUND OUT THAT HES A MONTAGUE
SHE SHOULD THINK ABOUT THE POSIBILITIES THAT MIGHT HAPPEN WHEN SHE DRINK THE SLEEPING LIQUID

WELL, I YOU THINK THAT THIS IS NOT A STRONG REASON..JUST TELL ME..AND IF YOU HAVE REASON TO GIVE JUST WRITE ME!
Also, I need two thesis statements for my essay (one at the end of an intro and one at the beginning of my conclusion)

This is what I have so far:

"Individuals should always be held responsible for their own decisions and actions which makes Romeo and Juliet solely responsible for their own deaths."

If you can email me with ANYTHING I would be sooo greatful! Thanks!

  • I went to see City of Angels on Friday and there was a preview for a movie, which name escapes me. It was playing all the songs from The R+J Soundtrack--O Verona and #1 Crush. I was shocked! I didn't think they could do that. I wasn't the only one who noticed it, my friend did as well.
Found it! Its called The Avengers. It stars Sean Connery, Ray Finnes, and Uma Thurman. You can go to this address and it has the trailer that I saw with O verona and #1 Crush.

  • All this talk about Romeo. Leo this, Leo that. Didn't anyone else think Balthasar (Jesse Bradford) was cute? True, he was somewhat more adorable in hackers, but Leo can't get all the credit. Well, okay, most of the credit... But Jesse is quite good looking, too!
