My name is Cyndie and I'm from Tucson, AZ, currently living and attending college in Flagstaff, Arizona.
I'm 19 years old and a Musical Educations major. My friend Abby and I are true Ninja Turtle fans and when the TMNT where brought back on the air we were changed.. we felt it.. We could feel the old youth rushing back into us.. We felt like different people... I know I did.. I felt that.. spark that the TMNT first brought to me 10 years ago.. *laughs* Why, I remember the FIRST time TMNT ever aired.. my cousin Jesse went balistic over it and said we GOTTA watch it and said it looked so cool.. Yeah right I said.. How stupid.. no way.. whutta dorky show.. Geez, when I saw that first ep I was HOOKED. And now, at age 19, I'm still hooked!. The Ninja Turtles had a huge affect on my life believe it or not.. They taught me to be myself. I was always afriad to be myself back in those days, 'coz you know, if you were different, you were WEIRD. Wouldn't want that now... but you know what? I LIKE being weird.. I LIKE being myself.. no one else can be you.. And the TMNT gave that gift to me.. They told me, hey you, be yourself.. and of course, eat pizza. ;) So I got into the rock/punk music, the total TMNT look, and boy was I having fun! I'm now not afraid to express myself.. I wear what I want, do what I want, but most of all, I respect others and their space.
When the TMNT started to fade, I grew sad. I really did love those guys.. and then the movie came out and BOY was I happy.. But I remember coming home after seeing each movie with an overwhelming sense of sadness, almost to the point of crying even... of yearning for them to be real, for them to be right there in my living room. But you know what? For those of us who truely believe in their magic.. Heck, they're right here sitting next to me. *grins*
This may all sound corny to you, but I'm sure you've had some experience in your life no? Something or someone who's changed your life.. who's helped you achieve the person you are today.. well, that's how I feel.. only the guys who helped form my life are four green, walking, talking turtles. ;)
Leonardo was the one who gave me my sense of leadership, of which I believe I am very qualifed and strong at. ;) Leo just always showed me, in his own Leonardo way, the do's and don't's of leading and taking charge, and he always seemed like a true caring friend.
"All the good ones end in 'O'!" Not true Mikey! Raphael may not have an O ending in his name, but he needs it not! Raph was always his own person. He was stubborn, and sometime hard, but deep down, he really did have a heart. Raph's attitude always got him in trouble, but it also got him out. His sarcastic attitude always kept ya on yer feet and kept ya guessing. Raph was one in a million.. and he still is. ;)
"Wise man always said, forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for late pizza." Famous words to live by, quoted by none other than Michaelangelo himself! Mikey's Abby's friend. ;) Those two would get along jiiiiiiiiist perfict. Mikey's a funny man, always ready for fun and laughter, or ready to GIVE fun and laughter. He was always keeping the guys laughing, and the audience too, just like our friend Abby. Ready to dance, ready to smile, ready for anything, Mikey couldn't be more than loveable. ;)
The turtle that I grew attached to was Donatello. He was my bud. He was everything I was, and more. He had fun, he was himself, but he was also smart, and he wasn't shy about it. Donnie also reacted and acted upon his mind, rather than his fists. I'm more of a thinker, not to rush into dangerous things, but to really make sure it's what I want. I'm also attacthed to the many wonders of the computer world, as is Donnie. I've always been spiritually lead, and always a thinker.. I take action only when I see it completely necessary.. and Donnie was just the one who's always shown me the way in his own Donnie ways. Someday, I'm going to marry Donatello. EEE!!! I love you Donnie!!!! =D
