Kathryn woke up with a large smile on her face. She couldn't believe Nick never had sex, he was SO wonderful. She opened her eyes and looked at the clock aside the bed. She went to the bathroom and took a shower, then came out and realized Nick was gone. "If he's like any vampire he must be asleep," she said with a giggle.
The person she is in love with is immortal and drinks blood. "My parents will love him," she said as she looked at Fang. She put on her clothes and walked to the door as Fang growled. "Why won't you let me leave?" She asked. He just growled and barked. "Fine, I'll stay. I do have a life though," she whined sitting on the bed. She decided to dust off the t.v. and watch it, "Nothing better to do," she said changing the channels. Around 3 Kathryn was starving. She looked over at his kitchen as looked in the fridge. She saw nothing, not even a crumb of something. She looked in the cabinets and saw nothing.
"Fang, if I opened the door and let you go, would you go get some food?" She asked in distress. She laid down on the bed and watched Jerry Springer. "That would be a great episode with us, 'On the next Jerry, Vampires and the girls who love them,'" she said with a laugh.
Finally 6 came, and Kathryn was bored out of her mind. She sat upside down in the bed watching t.v. "Hi," Nick said as she got up. "Hi! I've been so bored!" She said with a laugh. "You need to get some food, you have nothing," she said as he shrugged. "I don't exactly eat and I wasn't expecting you," he said as she smiled. "That's okay," she said kissing him lightly. "Can we go somewhere? I'm bored!" She begged as he grinned. "I'm hungry too," he said as she smiled. "Good, let's go," she said taking his hand and leading him down the stairs. They went to a grocery store; Nick hadn't been since he was younger. "What is this?" Nick asked holding up a box. "It's laundry detergent, you use it to clean your clothes," she said putting some food in her cart. "What about this?" He asked. "That's a sponge, you use it to clean things like counters and desks and things," she said with a laugh. "When was the last time you came to a grocery store?" "I was 13," he said looking at all the food. "How old are you now?" "In human terms I'm…19," he said as she smiled. "I'm 19 too," she said as he nodded. They went up to the register as Nick looked in amazement at the laser. "Total is 34.52," the cashier said as Nick looked at her in the eyes. "We already paid," he said as the cashier nodded. "You did, I'm so sorry," she said as Kathryn's mouth dropped. "How do you do that?" She asked carrying the bags to the car. "I'd show you but you wouldn't remember me doing it," he said as she shrugged. "You're so amazing," she said with a smile. "Come on, I'm starting to get angry so I need to eat," he said as she nodded.
They went to a bar. "Wait here," he said walking in. About 10 minutes later he came out with a girl, he pulled her to a wall as Kathryn stared in awe. Nick walked over to the car with blood on his lips; he got in a licked them with a smile. "Where to?" She asked. "We have to stay at my place, they will be coming after you soon," Nick said as she nodded. They opened the door to Nick's apartment as Kathryn put the groceries away in the fridge. She hopped on the bed next to Nick as sighed. "NO Kathryn!" Nick said shaking his head as she looked at him. "No what?" She asked puzzled. "You do NOT want to be a vampire, you can't," he said reading her thoughts. "Why not? I can be with you forever," she said sadly. "You don't know how bad I want that," he said shaking his head. "Good," she said taking his cold hand. "But you can't, I won't do it," he said shaking his head and letting go of her hand. "Why Nick? I want to! I'll go to Seth or someone if you don't," she whined. "You don't get it do you?" He said getting angry. His fangs grew out as he yelled. "You can eat, you can't breathe, you can't see the sun, you can't feel, feel anything! You can't do everything that you can do!" "But I could read minds, entrance people, and I could be with you forever," she said standing up to him. "I love you Nick," she said kissing him gently. "Stop," he said pushing her. Not realizing he used so much for she hit the wall and fell unconscious. "Oh I'm so sorry," he said looking down and picking her limp body off the floor. Blood was coming from a cut on her head, causing him to flinch. He wanted to taste her, he could almost already.
He licked her forehead, tasting the sweetest taste he's ever had. He sucked her cut as the blood came into his mouth. As the blood went through his veins with mixed emotions his fangs came out. Bending to her neck he bit in slowly as he heard her scared scream.
