"Hey!" he exclaimed. "I didn't get to finish the prizes!" I looked at him with a puzzled look. "Prizes...?" I asked. He just stared at me with his glum, but handsome, face. "Duh, Nicole! Why would Corissa enter a contest that doesn't have a prize that's worth ruining the reputation she doesn't have? She wouldn't just enter it because of you." I smiled. I pushed him and he landed hard in the center of the aisle. He just chuckled and ran back to his friends. I decided to read the prizes. This is what it read:
The winner of the "Singathon" will be a real winner! They will win $10,000 for a college scholarship and he/she will sing for a record company later in the year and if they like them, he/she would be signed to become a real singer. And to receive some more influences from pros, he/she will be able to travel with one of the following bands for one month: Sister Hazel, No Mercy, Celine Dion, Ma$e, Backstreet Boys, No Authority, Jewel, Robyn, The Fugees, and All Saints. Good Luck!
Wow! That's a great prize! I bet you know which band I'll pick if I won! Well, remember that big term, if. I decided to read the rest. All it said was that we should practice and we need to fill out a form and the contest will be held in the theater on May 24th. Great. Well, at least I have 2 months to try and bring my voice out.
