"Ugh... why won't your parents let you come?"
"I already told you. They hardly ever let me leave town without them, never
mind leaving the state, posibly the country."
"It's not like you're going by yourslef or with someone your parents hardly
know. We've been friends since forever. Our parents are friends. You guys
come to all of our family things- you practically ARE family. So what's the
problem?"
"They don't think that I should use my summer to around the country because
of a music group. They don't think it's a good cause."
"Sara, that's a bunch of bull and you know it."
"Yeah, I do know it, but we both also know there's nothing we can do about
it. My parents made up their minds and they're not likely to change it."
"Isn't there anything you can do?"
"I've done everything I could think of. I tried to make them feel guilty,
I've tried to ignore them, I've even tried begging. I even cleaned the
house- the WHOLE house! Nothing's helped.
"Well, we didn't win this contest so that you could sit homw while go
around the country with my wonderful sister- who I'll be forced to take if
you don't come."
"Well, when you think of a plan, let me know. You know I don't want to miss
this. How many girls do you know of that get the chance to go to five
Backstreet Boys shows in the citie of their choice? I really really want to
go, but my parents don't feel as passionate about this as we do."
"We're gonna think of something and you're going to come with me. You'll
see.
"OK, but don't get your hopes up."
