Yearning For Love Part 3

written by: Stina

When I was 12 and Nick was 13, Nick had figured out that there was something wrong and I told him about my mom. "Hailey, you have to do something." "Nick, I can't…I love her." "We've had this talk too many times, I've given you my opinions and if you don't listen, I'll just give it up." "And you've heard my opinions." "You know… opinions are like ass holes, everybody has one.(someone actually told me this once!)" "I agree. Anyways, I heard you and some guys are getting into a singing group!!" I said, happy for Nick. "Yeah, but I don't think it will be anything. Just like all the stupid acting auditions I go to that mean nothing!" "Oh no, you'll make it. Belive me, you will, I know it!"

A few months later I learned something horrible, just as Nick had something to be happy about. "Hailey, go to "The Spot" I have something to tell you!!" "I do too." I said. "Ok, 5 min." "Ok, bye." I hung up the phone and ran out the back door to "The Spot" "The Spot" was a dock that went out onto the little pond behind our houses. When I got to the spot I saw Nick, his eyes were shining happily. "We did it!!" "Did what?" I asked, confused. "Me and the guys!! We got a record deal!" I screamed (a happy scream) and hugged Nick. "What did I tell you?! I KNEW IT!!" Nick just smiled. Then he remembered, "You said you had something to tell me?" "Uh… let's sit at the end of the dock." "Hurry up! You have 15 minutes!" my mom yelled from the house. "15 minutes 'till what?" Nick asked. "Nick…" I said, tears filling my eyes.
